About us

The National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS), ODISHA is a pan-India organization dedicated to the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) for government employees. Founded on the principles of social justice and financial security, NMOPS, ODISHA represents the collective voice of millions of employees who seek a dignified and secure post-retirement life.

Since its inception, NMOPS has been actively engaged in advocacy, awareness, and dialogue with policymakers to ensure that the rights of public servants are protected. The organization firmly believes that pension is not a privilege but a right earned through years of dedicated service to the nation.

Through peaceful democratic movements, policy representations, and coordinated campaigns across states, NMOPS, ODISHA strives to highlight the shortcomings of the New Pension Scheme (NPS) and to restore a fair, assured, and humane pension system.

We are committed to

  • Advocacy: Engaging with government authorities, legislators, and stakeholders for the reintroduction of OPS.
  • Awareness: Educating employees and the public about the social and economic implications of NPS vs. OPS.
  • Unity: Bringing together government employees from all sectors under one common cause.
  • Transparency: Functioning with integrity, accountability, and collective decision-making.

Our mission is simple yet powerful to secure the future of every government employee and uphold the dignity of service to the nation.

Together, we believe in “One Nation, One Pension — the Old Pension Scheme.”
